Mold remediation in Carroll Valley
Carroll Valley borough stretches across wooded residential roads southwest of Gettysburg, near the mountain. Some houses are lived in every day. Some are quieter midweek. A house that sits closed in July with the air off and the basement door shut will grow a smell even if nothing leaked. Cooler nights add attic condensation on top of that.
Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, Sat 9am–2pm. Call 877-552-8556.
Houses that sit quiet
If you arrive Friday and the basement smells, do not run the furnace fan on 'on' all weekend to 'air it out' through the bedrooms. Open a controlled dry-down: dehumidifier, a look for a leak, and a call if you see growth or the odor is sharp.
We would rather see a small problem on a Saturday window than a finished lower level that stayed wet until Memorial Day.
Mountain weather
Ice and wind on the higher ground still show up as attic and eave issues. We look at the deck and the insulation before calling everything a roof leak. Sometimes it is. Often the bath fan never left the attic.
Local notes
- Closed vacation schedules are a risk. Have someone look if a storm passed through while you were away.
- Wooded lots hold moisture against siding and at grade. Keep mulch and firewood off the foundation.
- Same phone and hours as our Gettysburg work.
