Mold remediation in Historic Gettysburg
Historic Gettysburg is a tight grid of 19th-century brick and stone around Lincoln Square. Cellars are low, lots are narrow, and a lot of the plaster was never designed for a closed-up, air-conditioned house. We work block by block with compact equipment so we are not blocking Baltimore Street while we dry a joist.

What the borough does to a basement
Houses facing Baltimore and Chambersburg often share walls or sit inches from the neighbor's downspout. Summer storms dump water into window wells that were never tied to a drain. Winter adds condensation on the inside of stone that stays cold well into April.
Preservation matters. We do not default to gutting plaster that can be dried. Where plaster is already crumbled and colonized, we remove it in sections a restoration plasterer can match later. The quote says which is which.
How we schedule downtown
Hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. If you manage a short-stay house near the square, we will aim containment for weekdays so you are not explaining negative air to weekend guests.
Parking and one-way streets are part of the job plan, not a surprise at 8am. A bulkhead or alley entrance changes how we carry bagged drywall out.

- Many houses predate modern drainage. We often find runoff aimed at stone cellars behind Lincoln Square and recommend regrading or a drain rather than another coat of paint.
- Narrow streets and limited parking mean we stage materials on a schedule. Tell us about alley access when you book.
- Brick and limestone hold moisture after a freeze. We extend drying time and meter before anyone closes a wall.
