Mold remediation in Barlow Knoll
Barlow Knoll sits on ground that moves water toward foundations when a summer storm stacks up. Houses here mix mid-century builds with older foundations, and a lot of them have a crawl or a partial basement that was vented and then forgotten. Musty first floors usually start under the floor, not in the living room carpet.

Runoff on a slope
A house that is 'on a hill' still has a low corner. That corner collects gutter water if the downspout is short. We look outside before we price inside, because cleaning a joist that will be wet again in June is not a favor.
Clay soil in this part of the county holds water against the wall longer than sandy ground would. Dehumidifiers help the air. They do not replace a downspout.
Partial basements
Many Barlow Knoll homes have a basement under half the footprint and a crawl under the rest. Mold does not respect that line. If the quote only lists the basement, ask us whether we opened the crawl. We will, when access exists.
