Should I leave the house during mold remediation?

For a small contained area, many households stay, away from the work zone, with the HVAC isolated. For heavy demolition, or if someone is an infant, elderly, pregnant, asthmatic, or immunocompromised, being elsewhere on the demolition day is the simple plan. Birds should be out of the house whenever dust is being raised.

Ask which rooms will be unavailable. Containment is there so the whole house is not the work zone. It is not a reason to watch from the doorway.
