What is the difference between mold removal and mold remediation?

People use the words interchangeably. Removal means the moldy material or the growth itself leaves. Remediation means the whole process: find the water, contain the area, remove what cannot be cleaned, clean what can, dry to a measured target, and leave the house less likely to repeat.

A spray that 'kills mold' without drying the wall is neither. If the quote does not mention containment and moisture, it is a different service from the one described on this site.
